Usb native boot: Can't access HDDs

I built the bootable USB by copying the contents after mounting the latest dsl release. I intalled grub and everything works just fine. Except I can't reach any HDpartitions(neither NTFS, ext2 nor FAT32).

In my ubuntu system I just mount the devices in /media (If they are not already mounted). But in dsl I can't seem to find the devices.

How does everyone acces their HHd through dsl? (in any type of install. any information is useful) Maybe I'm missing something obvious. Idon't know

Thanks in advanced

See what drivers you have loaded when the system is booted: lsmod|less

For IDE drives you need 'ide_disk' for HDs and 'ide_cd' for the CD.
