Sorry: DSL won't install on a dual partition machine

I had my Dell inspiron running Win98se and DSL 1.3, but when I replaced Windows with Xandros 3 deluxe (which, btw, kicks ass), i could no longer boot into DSL. And when I try to install it again, it tells me that i require root permissions... what can I do!?

install it as root (sudo hd-install) as it is written in the getting_started.html
