Setting up DSL(winmodem)

I have an ltmodem. It does work with linux, I have used it with other distros. Where do I start to get this working with DSL. I plan on doing the HD install, which I know how to do, then work on this and one other thing, which I will make a seperate post for.

Edit: I am using DSL 0.8.0.

It is a Lucent Modem. It workd with both Mandrake and Suse. Suse picks it up wihtout to much of a problem. I had to play around with Mandrake and kppp for it to work. The one thing I am wondering is if any Lucent Modems have worked with DSL. If so I can play around with different packages until I get it to work. I still want to install DSL but I will also be playing around with LFS. So the more experience I have setting ltmodems up then the better it will be.

I can run scanmodem and let you know. Can't do it right now, have to make some phone calls. But I will post it here today. Thanks.
