Problem installing Wine in DSL 4.4.10

I am running DSL 4.4.10 on an old Thinkpad R30:
1-GHz/700-MHz Pentium III cpu
128 MB SDRAM

I enabled Apt and tried to install wine using [/home/dsl]# sudo apt-get install wine.
When I do this, it reads the package list fine and builds a dependency tree fine. After this, I get:

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
wine: Depends: debconf but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libwine (= 0.0.20020411-1) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: xbase-clients (>=4.0) but it is not going to be installed or
xcontrib
E:Broken packages

I guess my first question is where do I file a bug report 'against' the package, and what should I do about the wine install. Maybe there's another way?

Hi stevepohler,

Has happed to me too. The solution - download the latest wine source package and then install manually with ./make ./configure and #make install. Worked for me.

Hope this helps.
