Open Win32.eye

Hi

i need a simple solution for a simple problem. I have written a small win32.exe that i would like to run under a Live CD. I know that Wine is emulating Windows but i can't get it working with Knoppix - Wine tries to download components but actually there is no internet connection. (Why is Wine not just using the existing Windows installation on the HD?)

Knoppix is too heavy anyway, i think DSL will be nice. Is there an easy and quick way to get the .exe running?

Wine does not use the existing installation of Windows (indeed, it is designed to run in situations where there isn't any such installation). Without an Internet connection you won't be able to download and install Wine, so that is a bit of a dead end there.

You would be better off running a minimal live CD that includes Wine, such as SLAX KillBill Edition.

Thanks, i have tried Slax now. Most win32.exe are working but not the programms compiled with VB6. I guess MSVBVM60.DLL (Virtual Basic Runtime)is missing.
Is it possible to pack these DLLs on the Slax CD?
