Network problem

Hi, This is my first post so hear goes. I have installed DSL onto a USB pendrive and it booted up with no problems. I have tried for several hours to get my internal network card to work without joy. To be honest I am really just floundering around without a clue.
I have tried the wicardconfig, it quoted "no wireless card found". Tried the Ndiswrapper setup entering my sid & WEP, "connection failed".
I must be missing something (brain probably) or is it difficult to get wireless setup with a pendrive?
The DSL control panel (hardware) suggests that my Network card is an Intel Corp PRO/wireless 3945 ABG Network Connection (rev 02)
I have read through several threads in the forum but most of it is over my head.
Any help would be really appreciated, perhaps a pointer to a 'Howto' somewhere in the archives. Thanks for reading.:)

Never used that chipset before but one thing you want to do is turn off all security on the router. Enable dhcp. Now set the card to get its own ip and no security. Once you can do that then reenable security and resolve that portion. It is possible the card may never have worked even if security is right. Just take it one set at a time.
