Most stable version?

I never got DSL to work with my mouse and am wondering if an older version would be better. What is the most stable version of DSL? (and one that has good support for mice)

well logically, a newer version should contain better support for everything (newer drivers, etc). why don't you try a different distro with better hardware detection?
