Installing LKMs

Hello,

I am a newbie to Linux, but have lots of UNIX experience. Please help with this basic question about lkm's. Can I develop device device drivers on Fedora 2.6.11 and expect them to install (via insmod) on DSL-NOT running 2.6.11???

Thanks,
Doug

you can't copy modules between them no. you have other things like your glibc versions and linking methods which restrict that sort of thing.
