installing DSL on hard drive
i'm trying to install DSL on my laptop had drive but when i put in DSL live CD it start to run and i can see that DSL is trying to run by CD but it never load all the way and do not go to the DSL OS window at all. so how can i install the DSL in to HD
for the live CD i have dsl-4.4.6 am i using wrong DSL since i see other DSL iso in download? |
how did you burn the cd as a data disk ( just one file called "dsl-4.4.6.iso") or disk image ( a bunch of files on it )
also you need to reboot with the cd in the drive . |
i used nero for burning image by using image burner
like i said cd is working fine as far as i can tell since DSL do start to load when i restart my computer but it just froze at point of loading. |
What kind of laptop is it? I ask because sometimes on a first boot while investigating the hardware it seems to hang for a long time on somethings. Give it a few minutes to see if it goes. If not you might have an issue with a hdd controller or something.
