I like DSL but I am helpless concerning my HP600 printer

Hi, do I need an additional driver for my hp600 printer?
The drivers from DSL do not seem to work.

The generic asci driver works but with errors. Printing the test-page after i configured the printer at X11 with "printing->configure" only the first line was printed.
There are several hp600 driver but 2 do not even initialize. the third one is possible to install but the printer do not print.

I ve chosen /dev/lp0 and "lp". I tried it several times and chose the name "aps1"and "aps2" ... .

I hope I am not talking bullshit
