How to configure rdesktop in DSL?
I want to have rdesktop automatically go to a specific IP address at a pre-configured screen resolution, much like using an .rdp file in Windows.

Anybody know how to do this? I'd like to put an icon on the desktop so that I connect automatically to the pre-specified remote computer when I double-click on it.

Thanks in advance!

You would use the following command in your shortcut:

rdesktop [options] server[:port]
You can get a full list of options from the online man page for rdesktop.

Perfect! Excellent! Worked like a charm!

1) I created a new file on the desktop.
2) I right-clicked the new file's icon and chose 'options'.
3) Under "Shell Command" I entered the rdesktop command using the options on the page you linked to.
4) I renamed the file the name of the computer I'm connecting to.
5) I changed the icon to network2.xpm
