Ok, so here is my issue, I had Puppy Linux installed on my laptop,
figured I try DSL, installed it on HDD but on first boot after install
I get this error:
I was using GRUB on Puppy and had it on MBR, but now whatever I do I get
that error and no way around it. Can't type anything after the error,
can't boot from ANY liveCD, anything I put in the CD drive will end with
the same error message. Tried Win XP, Ubuntu, Puppy & DSL but always the
same screen.
Is there a way to check that?
As I said I can't type and booting a liveCD doesn't work either since I can't get past this message.
I can select CD or HDD on the boot menu, but I always end up with this message.
Try hitting escape at the grub menu and editing the partition settings
You, Sir, are correct, the CD drive was not detected by the BIOS,
I have one of these hot-swap drives, so took it out, put it back
and then it booted Ubuntu LiveCD for me.
Now I have to figure how to go about fixing that MBR.
