DSL and DSL-N installed - how to edit grub

On an old P266 with 124 RAM, serial mouse, no internet I've installed DSL on hda3 and DSL-N on hda2, with hda1 being swap. Grub looks quite long and I can't copy and paste as this is separate machine.

Firstly Grub contains several entries relating to display eg basic, then 800 x 600 (which is what I use), then some higher settings. I could probably safely get rid of those extra entries?

Secondly - how do I edit Grub to have the choice of booting to DSL or DSL-N. at present only DSL comes up. I installed that second ...

Thanks. While I've been using Linux for a couple of years am inexperienced with command line and the workings of things.

You do need to walk those files over to us.

It's unusual for grub to control screen resolution - that's in xorg.conf normally.
You can safely remove any entries you do not boot to.
The new entry you want to DSL-N will look exactly like the ones for DSL, different title, different partition. That's it.

Thanks for that - I've now gone back to pclinuxos and their stripped down versions called TinyMe and TinyFlux. It's still grub though, so I'll study entries for both (different PCs) and should be able to edit when I do the dual boot. Thanks for your response.
