Boot from flopy, DSL from USB-Stick?

Hello!

I've got from a friend a quite old laptop and want now to boot DSL. It has one Interface for USB (1.0?) a CD-Drive, which seems that doesn't work. It has a floppy drive as well and so I want to boot from this Floppy-drive and then use the software on the usb-stick. Is there anywhere a floppy image to do this?

Your help is apreceated!

If the laptop supports it you can boot DSL off the USB stick as an alternative to floppy. (DSL has a HOWTO on creating bootable USB sticks). Also for how to boot DSL off a floppy, read this: DSL Boot Floppies.

Oh sorry, seems that I could really have been able to find this in the net by myself (RTFM!).
But sometimes you get so much information from the net that you can't see (as we say in German) the forest seeing too many trees.

Thanks a lot
