best way to create my ow DSL

Hi,

i've been testing a lot of small linuxes.
and i'd like to give this one a trie.

i'm not interested in the distro but in the customize factor.

what would be the best to rebuilt my own DSL
-> use a bootable live CD and then use their make my DSL remaster program.
or
-> use a bootable usb stick and remove by apt-get all the programs and just install/keep what i need. ( their will just remain 1 browser and i'll put the citrix client in it )

ps. keep in mind that i'll need that the browser automaticaly opens at boot !
so could be i'll have to change some files in /etc/X11
what is quiet weird in a live cd ( even though i saw you can add packages )

personally i think it would be easier to use an usb stick and with that to modify the distro and save it on it ( if it would be possible )

what would you advice me to do ?

( you ca modify a lot off live version but i really would like to see one who just has a gui and nothing else )

thx in advance

I would try using the remastering program as there is documentation and help available.
I dont think that you can remove the programs with apt-get and since DSL is not pure debain you can run into some problems occasionally. I have used apt-get with it and had very few problems in a hd install, but for a project like this I would take a look at their .dsl extensions.
