Application problem at low resolution

As the title .... unfortunately my laptop (Compaq Armada 1530D) does not display properly DSL to a resolution greater than 4 bits .... I state that already in this resolution DSL is very nice ..... but the problem is applications, some do not work at this resolution ... if i choose an 8-bit resolution works all but the colors are offset and some details are not seen ..
Some solution?
Thank you
