Problems Burning mpg layer 3 audio to cd-r-rw
 

Having buffer underun problems when trying to burn mpeg layer III to cd-rw's. If I use raw and write an image to H-D that cures the underun problem, but it adds another 15 min or more to the process for a total of about 40-50 min to burn one complete disc, is this right?
Also if I use a cd-r and burn at higher speed 16X, I start seeing buffer underun again which results in lost program or data.
Am I using the right approach here?

Which program do you use to burn cd (which frontend)??
Is your burner burnproof capable???
If yes you should pick the burnfree option that the frontend gives (there's also in k3b burning frontend of KDE and in eroaster I don't know for other burning program).
I don't know why you use raw write or image to burn mp3 i.e. Eroaster as it button to create cd with mp3 file and automates all you've got only to drag'n'drop files from file manager to the program window.

Using K3b, and raw automatically pops a gui for opting to create an image on the H-D.

Drive has Safeburn buffer mangement system and CAV writing support. Using burnfree in K3b makes no difference one way or the other. This is very puzzling, at least to me.
I tried using RAW just as a test and it did help with the Buffer underun problem, but it still persists at higher burn rates. Go figure?
