compiling kernel with console different resolution?

Hi,

I just compiled the kernel for linux ansd I need the following

1) Supermount Patch
2) Q2 patch

and other linux distributions work with my monitor its a wide screen high definition monitor. But for some reason I have bigger letters with this distro

How can I compile the kernel or set it up so my screen has smaller letters? or a better resolution?

I'm using Conectiva(as i am posting in here)

Bump. Curious my self.

You may want to look at /etc/rc.conf for console fonts. That may help.
