Cannot find Linux CDROM on Installation (error)
I am trying to install Conectiva Linux on a desktop with System Commander 2000 and Windows 98. I am using the "boot from drive A" selection from system commander, since the linux cds partition the hard drive. (I tried this same process on a laptop with system commander 2000 and windows 2000 -- it worked fine)
During the install, after booting from A (linux boot disk), I am receiving the following error message:
"I could not find a Conectiva Linux CDROM in any of your CDROM drives. Please insert the Conectiva CDE and press "OK" to retry".
Linux Disk #1 is in my CDROM drive, I have removed it and replaced the disk quite a few times. I also tried my other CDROM Drive (there are 2 internal CDROM drives in the desktop) I have also completely rebooted the system.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions !
Thanks !
Tammy
