There is only one week left to vote in the 2011 Members Choice Awards! The Members Choice Awards allow the Linux community to select their favorite products in a variety of categories. Awards will be given out in 31 categories this year, including Server Distribution of the Year, Desktop Distribution of the Year, Mobile Distribution of the Year, Database of the Year and Desktop Environment of the Year. The polls will close on February 9th. Visit for more information or to go right to the polls. Vote now and make sure your voice is heard.

We'd like to revive the LQ Interview Series with regularly posted interviews, and we're interested in who you'd like to see interviewed. Once someone has agreed to an interview, we'll post to get feedback on what questions you'd like asked. Visit to let us know who you'd like to see interviewed, and we'll see if we can make it happen.

A reminder that LQ has a new sister site. Visit for all Android-related questions. Note that AQ represents the next generation platform that will soon run LQ. We recently rolled out another code update to AQ and are actively soliciting feedback.
