$username,

LinuxQuestions.org recently celebrated its ninth year on the web. I'd like to once again thank each and every LQ member; you truly make LQ what it is. Feedback and member suggestions have been absolutely critical to our success and growth. With that in mind, I'd like to use the LQ Birthday Thread at http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...urns-9-735569/ to collect as much feedback as possible about LQ. What are we doing well and where can we improve? What new features or sections would you like to see? What should we be doing differently? Let us know your thoughts, we really are listening. As a thank you, I'll be randomly selecting 10 suggestions from this thread and upgrading the posting member to a contributing member for one year. Feel free to post any birthday-related comments in this thread as well.

I'm happy to report that we're now experimenting with an often requested feature here at LQ. The original poster in a thread can now mark the thread as [Solved] by clicking "Mark this thread as solved" under "Thread Tools". Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d-beta-733937/ to leave your feedback on this new functionality.

I'm happy to announce that we're able to give away one full "Sessions Only" pass to OSCON. Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...rom-lq-735346/ for more information on how to attend OSCON courtesy of LQ.

Another distribution has joined LinuxQuestions.org. Please welcome Calculate Linux. I'd like to thank Alexander for working to get the forum setup. Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...culate-733351/ for the announcement or http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/calculate-89/ to go directly to the new LQ Calculate forum.
