$username,

Another distribution has joined LinuxQuestions.org. Please welcome Linux Mint. I'd like to thank Husse for working with me to get the Linux Mint forum setup and for participating at LQ. Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...x-mint-712552/ for the announcement or http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-mint-84/ to go directly to the new LQ Linux Mint forum.

As you probably know, "community" is an extremely important concept here at LQ. Whether it be the LQ community, the Linux community or the greater Open Source community, we share many common goals and ideas. In reality, we're a large ecosystem made up of smaller communities. In this vein, I thought it would be interesting to interview a variety of people who are responsible for looking after a specific Open Source communities. With that in mind, I'd like to announce the LQ Community Manager Interview Series While many of the people we'll be interviewing have the title "Community Manager", it's possible that some will not. Each interview will consist of a few common questions and then some project specific questions. Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...series-710908/ to let us know what questions you'd like to see asked and who you'd like to see interviewed. Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...anager-712635/ for the first interview, which is with Ubuntu Community Manager Jono Bacon.

Partially inspired by the Digg Spy functionality, I'm proud to announce that LQ Spy is now available. LQ Spy is an AJAX-based real time feed of all new LQ posts and threads. You also have the option to limit the feed to only show threads you have subscribed to. Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...lq-spy-710577/ for more information or go directly to http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/lqspy.php to see LQ Spy in action.
