LinuxQuestions.org Community Bulletin
For unsubscription information, please see the bottom of this email.
You may notice that this Community Bulletin is arriving in your INBOX about a day earlier than normal. That is a result of the fact that I'll be away in Boston, exhibiting at the LinuxWorld Conference and Expo. This will be the fifth LWE that LQ has participated in, and each and every one has been a fantastic experiance. Thanks again to IDG for inviting us to exhibit. If you'll be in Boston, make sure to stop in
and visit booth #18 in the .org Pavilion. If you need a free pass, email me and I'll be happy to provide one. See you there!
The polls are closed and the results are in for the 2004 LinuxQuestions.org Members Choice Awards. I'd like to congratulate each and every nominee. Visit
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/t286716.html for a summary of the winners and
http://www.linuxquestions.org/awards/ for the full results. We'll be giving out nine of the awards at LinuxWorld and mailing the rest. Time to start thinking about who you'd like to nominate for a 2005 award.
I'm happy to report that LQ ISO has now served over a half a million downloads. Not too bad for its first six months. There are now over 100 distribution versions available for download from over 350 mirrors. Visit
http://iso.linuxquestions.org/ to download your next distro. Don't forget, LQ ISO is a great place to send someone the next time they ask where they can easily download Linux from. Also, if you notice your favorite distrubution or mirror missing, please click the "Suggest Additions" link and let us know.
Just a reminder, the LQ Podcasts have moved from my blog (
http://jeremy.linuxquestions.org/ ), to the LQ Radio site. Visit
http://radio.linuxquestions.org/?cat=2 to listen to the latest Podcast in mp3 or ogg
format. LQ Radio, Open Talk...about Open Source, is coming soon.
