Another distribution has joined LinuxQuestions.org. Please welcome Amigo Linux. I'd like to thank Gilbert of Amigo for working to get this forum setup and participating under the username gn_ashley. You can view the announcement here http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=230676 or visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...php?forumid=56 to go right to the Amigo forum. Additionally, we have created an "Other *NIX" forum to allow discussion of UNIX variants that do not have their own forum at LQ. Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...php?forumid=55 to discuss HP-UX, OS X, IRIX or any of your favorite UNIX platforms.
I am happy to report that the LQ Wiki recently hit 2,000 articles. It's a nice start, but with the lofty goal of becoming the largest general-knowledge Linux repository on the web, we have a long way to go. Visit http://wiki.linuxquestions.org and share your Linux knowledge today.
By now I hope you are familiar with the LinuxQuestions.org Tutorials section - LinuxAnswers (http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/answers.php). We have created a thread to allow members to request a LinuxAnswer for a specific topic. If you have been looking for a specific LinuxAnswer, visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=229301 and let everyone know. The thread is also useful if you would like to write a LinuxAnswer, but are unsure of what topic to write about.
LinuxQuestions.org is headed to the UK, and I am happy to report that I will be making the trip. LQ will be in the .Org Village at LWE UK in October. Remember, all donations and Contributing Member funds received between now and the Expo on October 6th will be used to fund the trip. Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=227734 for more information on helping LQ make it to the UK. Thank you for your support.
