Kernel image for a noob

hi folks. this question falls into the noob catagory but it pretty much stays confined to CL. i am trying several distros on an old laptop and i am now trying CL. the prob is that i need to know how to point to the kernel image fairly early on in the install... right around the lilo install i think it was. any help here is appreciated.

TIA

You might want to be a little more specific about what you're trying to do. Usually to "point"to the kernel in LILO, you tell LILO where the root partition is located (/dev/hdxx), then the local paths to where vmlinuz, and initrd are located and then pass any other kernel options you need.
