Its Back, But no longer a desktop

OK this is a little freaky and very surprising. As someone who was on the team of the old College Linux, which I stll think was a very cool desktop, we now have a debian based server and the same name.

OK I get that the desktop market has attracted ubuntu, SUSE (now open) and fedora as well as many smaller versions, but such huge change and the same name.

Sorry but sad about this.

As one of those who kept trying to keep it going Its sad to just discover on distrowatch that its back, oh yeah, its also totally different

But thats life.

BTW David if you read this, the desktop version has still never been matched IMHO. It just stopped being supported.

But we move on with slackware versions of our own.
