How update KDE?


i have collegelinux 2.5. how can i update kde from 3.1 to the latest version? how do you stop kde from "restoring previous session"? when i shutdown i have to type in my root password, how do i stop it from asking me that? thanks

open the KDE control center and look thru it's vast menu

one is "Login manager"

one is "Session manager"

You would be amazed at what you can do with kde control center. It has all kinds of options. You could even set things up so it boots directly to a specific user without a prompt.

I am about to post a message on how to config CL to do all sorts of updates. Even your kernel if you wish. So check it out.
