Scrollbars not visible in some applications

Hi all,
on CentOS 7 with MATE window manager I installed a theme (OSX-Arc-Plus).
I like it very much, but the vertical and horizontal scrollbars are invisible in some applications (e.g. Nemo file manager, GNOME Terminal, Eclipse).
I can scroll with cursors and mouse wheel, but not by selecting and dragging scrollbars.
Other themes (e.g. Adwaita) are working ok however.

I tried to play with editing file
/home/<user>/.themes/OSX-Arc-Plus/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
but without success
(but the folder is the right one, because if I change some PNG in /home/<user>/.themes/OSX-Arc-Plus/gtk-2.0/assets I can see changes!)

Also I tried to put
export GTK_OVERLAY_SCROLLING=0
in .bashrc

And also looked in dconf Editor options.

Any hints on how I can force scrollbars sliders to be visible always?

Thank you very much
Vincenzo

I see that you've opened a bug report at the OSX-Arc-Plus github page. I was going to suggest you do this since the problem is most probably theme-specific.

https://github.com/LinxGem33/OSX-Arc-Plus/issues/8

Let us know how it gets on.

Yes, that was the first thing I made.
But in the meanwhile I would like to explore how scrollbars and scrollbars sliders can be customized in a Mate theme.
Thank you very much
Vincenzo
