How to permanently disable 'lost+found' on an ext4 mounted file system?

I am testing new encryption software and would like to encrypt the root of an ext4 mounted file system. Without detailing the encryption software itself, I'm finding it necessary to disable/delete the lost+found directory.

Is there a method to disable this directory permanently.

Using CentOS v6.6 with kernel version 2.6.32-504.8.1.el6.x86_64.

Thanks in advance for any input.

You can delete it anytime you wish. fsck will recreate it whenever run. Non-ext filesystems may handle things differently.
