Fresh start CentOS, nothing much working so far... install multimedia mishaps...

I've done these already, just trying to get the basics installed,

https://www.tecmint.com/how-to-enabl...el-centos-6-5/

https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/instal...os-redhat-7-x/

https://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/NTFS

mpv, handbrake, blender, and what ever else comes across my mind as I set this up, along with codecs for mp3 and mp4 mkv etc... H256 ( I think it is, mp4s) Dragonplayer no shows video just that weird display it does.

I did get ntfs to work wooo Hoo!!!

I have done this and it works fine - here is CentOS's wiki on this: https://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTrick...mediaOnCentOS7

And a link to their descriptions of 3rd party repos: https://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalRe...ght=%28epel%29

Multimedia does not work without 3rd party repo support, so if you are OK with that, you can get it working.

OK It looks like I found a good page to work with here...

there is one discrepancy in it that one needs to know how to navigate directories from another sight using a web browser to find the directory needed.

because this one as changed its directory structure and file name...

https: // dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/7Server/x86_64/e/epel-release-7-9.noarch.rpm

this is the page that I am working off of that so far looks to be working, as I have yet to try installing anything off the repos just adding them to the db.

Code:
rpm -Uvh https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/7Server/x86_64/Packages/e/epel-release-7-11.noarch.rpm
