CentOS is dead

This article stated that development of Centos has been stopped by RedHat Linux. I have not used CentOS myself, I was wondering how accurate are these news.

Yes, 8 will end at the end of 2021 and 7 will end in 2024.

There's a bunch of info about this move, and the various replacement options, already on LQ from when the news was announced.

Here's a couple:
* CentOS not available after 2021 ?
* The centos problem
