Cool Centos 6.7 repositories

Hi, I'm frank.

I have a some questions. I've just installed Centos 6.7 in my laptop, and I have no idea where the repository configuration file is, or something like that.
So I need your help for the repositories.

Is Centos like Debian?
Debian support off-line install with a beautiful dvds there for you to install packages off-line. You just mount the DVDs and "apt-cdrom add" does the job for you (adds to the repositories), you mount again to install whatever software you want, like that. is it possible in Centos 6.7?

Thanks! I hope you can help me out.

you might want to READ the redhat documentation
cent uses the redhat docs

https://access.redhat.com/documentat...erprise-linux/

click on "6" under "Product Version"

the "Deployment_Guide"
https://access.redhat.com/documentat...ide/index.html

I read that documentation and it wasn't very useful, but appreciate.
I still need the information. Thanks!
I'm going to search in the web.

see
Code:
man yum

and the cent wiki
-- this is aging and a lot of things are out of date
https://wiki.centos.org/
software repos
https://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalRe...s/Repositories

Code:
and I have no idea where the repository configuration file is
yum is the tool

or

manually with a text editor -- NOT!!!!! a good idea unless you are an expert
/etc/yum.repos.d/???.repo
-- very easy to FUBAR things

centos assumes that you already KNOW your way around rehdat os's
( same os just a few different things )

you can also port the older fedora guides to work for CentOS
( this is what a lot of people do)

I just downloaded a couple of videos, to improve my knowledge of Centos. And I'm gonna build a local mirror; because I'd be glad to have a mirror in my laptop... Cool. I'm going to read the documentation; because the documentation is very helpful, to better understand the problems.
ok, thank you so much for the links.
