CentOS 6.10 Live CD issue.
Greetings,
I downloaded a the new CentOS 6.10 live CD (DVD) and booted it up on my Macbook Pro.
No issues bringing it up and made an effort to try to get the network working so I could use Firefox with it. No luck, no matter what I tried could not get the network up.
Defining the network as bridge and wired. Even tried to using DHCP but still no luck.
Since no one has replied yet. By posting bridged and wired I assume your running the DVD from a VM. As a frame of reference using completely different system/software/hardware i.e Windows 7 and VirtualBox, the live DVD networking worked without issues.
There are many variables in the mix so its hard to say what is happening. Integrity of the ISO file, operating system, Virtualization software, configuration of the VM.

Thanks for your reply. I'm running the live CD on a Macbook Pro native...not under any VM such as Fusion. That's why I don't understand why it connect to the internet.

Do you mean can't connect? Your posts are not very clear.
Since you are running native it would depend on the chipsets of the adapters. If your Macbook pro has Broadcom then they are not supported out of the box.

I'm configuring the networking in the live CD system the same as I did with my CentOS 6.8 system and no connection seems to be made. Of course the 6.8 system runs under Fusion but the live CD boots on the native machine which is remote connected to the network via an access point. I'm now thinking that that's a whole different story. How can the live CD system see the access point? Do I have to look at other options in the live CD to see about this remote connection???
