Thumbs down up2date

Hello all,
I am having problems running the up2date on Centos 3.1. If I ssh the server and up2date --up2date it fails. It says type error readHeaderBlob takes 2 types 1 given. If i run the up2date on the server it self it just hangs. I did manage to get a few updates to install 1 at a time but. It said some GUP key was unreckonized. Please help. I dont want to spend the $$$ for the real Redhat.

I believe that up2date has been set to use yum, but why not just use yum directly?

'yum update' should do the trick after you have configured your /etc/yum.conf (default may be at /etc/centos-yum.conf).

BTW, please read this FAQ on the caosity.org site which explains the gpg errors:

http://caosity.org/index.php?option=...id=24&Itemid=5

Hopefully that helps!
