going to try caos again

hi all.

if you need help with the install and (while during your install you have access to another computer) take a look at the following link:

OS Directory's link

at least you will know that someone did it correctly and there is hope :-)

also, i'm going to throw my ethernet connection in this time. I know it sounds odd, but i didn't have a laptop last time i tried to install caos. I'll probably go with the enlightenment desktop environ too. (or windows manager i guess to be technical).

I'm writing on a kanotix hd install here. not a bad distro, more advanced then xandros but not as advanced as caos. hence why i want to try caos. I wonder how this thing will turn out. I'm going to try the install in approx 5 hours when i have time. stay tuned. Can i do it in one day? we'll see.

several hours should be more then reasonable, but it would depend on networking speed. Also, the new cAos installer (2.1a) will do demo installs if you want to just see what it is like. It will actually "install" caosi into a tmpfs so it won't bother your local disk, but it does require a sufficient amount of ram.

BTW, we are bringing enlightenment-0.17 (e17) in now. You can see my screen shot at:

We should have it completly implemented and in current in several more days. I think this is the nicest window manager I have ever used!
