does /usr/lib....

means that only firefox will be found in this directory?

i will surely try that.....

and thanks for ur time to make me understand that.

Hope this works...and i need not post such stuff again!

Other direcories and files will also be located in /usr/ and its sub directories, not just firefox. When you compile software on your own, it usually goes into /usr/local/. Do a search for "Unix File Hierarchy" and you will get more info about the Unix/Linux directory structure.
