after updating RHEL AS 4 w/ CentOS' YUM repository....

Everything like Logo, Icons changed to CentOS instead of RH... that was quite funny.. but would that have some legal ramifications?

Yes if CentOS kept the Redhat branding then technically, they would be in violation of Redhats license so could be sued for using Redhats trademarks. There has already been an issue recently about Redhat clones using the Redhat name on their websites, they have been cautioned by Redhat and advised to remove all references to "Redhat".
