Calculate Linux 11.15 on an netbook
Hello friends of Calculate Linux!
In tried to install CLD 11.15 on my netbook "Acer Aspire One 722". First I choose the language "German", then the graphics resolution 1366x768 and loading CLD to RAM. The first one I get a good result, but after rebooting the third time the KDE-Desktop froze, mouse didnīt run - nothing to do.... Now I try to install CLX without loading in RAM. I think KDE to big for the netbook, but why could I use CLD the first one? Sorry for my "German" English :-) Manfred |
Hi
I install Calculate linux CLDG 11.12 on EEEPC 1000h(2 Gb RAM) and no problems everything works out of the box. Maybe RAM is YOUR problem |

You should see hardware requirement minimum for installing Calculate linux 11.15 |
Hi Manfred,
it may have to do with your video card, too... CLD is OK for netbooks, though it surely will run slower than, for instance, CLDX... maybe you should try it. Personally I have the scratch version (CLS) on my netbook, with OpenBox. It now has its own binary profile, by the way. |
