Thunderbird icon arc-green

I installed thunderbird, but it installed with the standard blue/white icon, which looks out of place in the 5.1 default theme.

I initially tried re-colouring a downloaded thunderbird.svg icon and placing it in /usr/share/icons/arc-green-icons-GTK, but that didn't work (probably because I have no idea what I'm doing in Moksha ). Then I saved the .svg as a 32x32 .xpm using gimp and replaced the existing thunderbird.xpm in /usr/share/pixmaps/. That did work, instantly without even logging out and back in.

The forum doesn't allow uploading .xpm files, but here is mine as a .gif.

OK

You need to "register" new icon with updating icon cache with this command:
sudo update-icon-caches /usr/share/icons/*

Hmmm, sorta disagree with the icon you offer. What do you think about this one?

Need to resize to 48x48 and change color to #419236

Here's the one I ended up using (with correct colour):

https://www54.zippyshare.com/v/DhkLEujO/file.html

It's a 1000 x 1000 .svg - I placed it in /usr/share/icons/arc-green-icons-GTK/apps/scalable and then ran sudo update-icon-caches /usr/share/icons/* as above.
