Cool Thanks! for the New Version

Just in time, my last bodhi 5.0 had a Moksha screen freeze.
Probably from a pulse equalizer install with pactl sinks,
or it could have been from another install, like Ardour.
with some new ppa's.

& There it was! a New Bodhi Version

Install was via usb on the standard, 800mb version.
All went well,
I even used the gtk creator to make the bootable iso-usb*.
on another one of my older bodhi's.
With the USB, I left it with an old iso install
and let gtk format/copy over it.
At the end of the creator iso, it said bus error,
but I didn't care, it installed as normal.
I just didn't want to use unetbootin again, and fat32 formatting etc.

After Install"
Adding-in only my fav apps,
which seems to keep these linux distro's under control.

Lenovo Limping Along:
My old lenovo is still spiking down though,
with total shut-offs a few times per day.

Smartmontools & hdparm say, fan and hard drive failing.

Ordered another Lenovo*,(good condition)
*update, it needs a new hard drive also, but not as soon.
Apparently, someone just like to turn the computer on & off,
way too much. Giving it "old age" and
the g-sensor rating at 300 wasn't great news either.

Just like this Lenovo, I installed the new bodhi on it.

Sound is a problem with all these laptops,
yet, I persist in trying to record my arias.

Thanks again!

Unhappy Sound

/etc/pulse/daemon.cof

with the conf edits, I don't hear any major changes to pulse audio.
I use the alsamixer and an external usb-mic as the sound card (as recording default).

It just records too bright and losses the bass. Same with the webcam mic also.

The mic itself could be the issue, an old model of the irig studio
Condensor. Some say Dynamic is better for a bright and airy voice.
The mics are just too pricey to believe,
so I am struggling through trying to get the irig as better quality.

Anyhoo, I can't really blame audacity,

I'm off to recording attempts again.
