several problems with moksha bodhi 5.0

I have a fresh Install of Bodhi 5.0. Machine ist Thinkpad 420.

First of all I love Bodhi and used previous releases on the same machine without greater problems.

Now sometimes after resetting Moksha - f.e because icons in "everything" were missing - I get a blank screen, only my cursor is visible.
Changing to a virtual console, trying to use "reboot" or systemctl -reboot brings an never ending shutdown; I have to use the hardware-button to turn off the machine.

I also cannot reach the desktop, when starting the laptop not connected to the power supply, but when is running on battery power. Same problem: blank screen, only cursor.

Does anybody have an idea? thanks for help!
