Question Setting up File Shares

I have just installed Bodhi, I can see shares I have set up on other (Linux) computers, which I set up using Nautilus/Samba, but I cannot see how to share directories from my Bodhi computer.

I could, I suppose, install Nautilus/Samba, and set up the shares as I did before, but I was wondering if there is a simpler/more elegant/more native way of doing this? I only need to share with other Linux computers, not with a Windows Network.

Any suggestions?

Use the built in NFS rather than Samba.

You'd have to turn on NFS server on the Bodhi server and put the shares there.
Have a look at "man exports" for setting up shares.

Have a look at "man nfs" on your target Linux machines on how to mount NFS shares from your Bodhi machine.

You can do a web search for "nfs tutorial" for how to do it on various flavors. I don't use Bodhi so can't tell you the exact steps but any tutorial should give you the basic idea.
