Question Need help with terminology on "Profile Selector" buttons: Scratch??

I am running Bodhi 5.0 and am confused when using the Profile Selector by (only) two of the button labels. The others seem pretty obvious.

I have searched the forum and the first label-name gives zero hits, and the second, only irrelevant hits. The 'Profiles' wiki has an image showing all the buttons, with their labels, but does not mention the function of the two I find confusing -- and I don't see any 'hover-help'. The two labels confusing me are:

1) Scratch (never came across this one before -- a 'different' kind of Delete?), and
2) Reset (a familiar label, but in this case, exactly what gets reset to what?)

As well, I 'messed up' the Shelf (bottom of the screen) and failed to first store the original by saving a new Profile. Will one of the options already in the Profile Selector still get me back to the original's state? If yes, what is its name?

Reset will reset one of the default profiles back to where it starts removing all your modifications of it.

I'm actually not sure off hand what the scratch button does. That is from E17. Will need to look at the source and see what it is doing.

@Jeff, thanks for the fast reply!

Then, the answer to my final paragraph would be, none of the other Available Profiles contain the original settings. I should reselect, instead, the Profile that was in use when the unwanted changes occurred (Bodhi Linux, if I recall correctly?) and just press Reset, and then all the unwanted changes will be undone.

I'm fine, if that's correct, but if not, please let me know!

@Jeff, you have enough to do with giving us this wonderful distro! Apparently most users don't really get involved with manipulating Profiles ... so it would be easier if I just start pushing the buttons and see what happens!

I can't go too far wrong ... it couldn't possibly damage the OS installation ... if I just back-up .e and e, first, and then start 'hacking around' to see what happens. If I get somewhere that I can't back out of, I'll just copy the backup over the working files and it should be back to start. If it's half-way decently programmed, it may even be self-explanatory once one starts to push the buttons, to see what happens next.

Once this is resolved, I would be glad to write it up as a revision to be inserted into the Profiles Wiki page. This way the same questions wouldn't keep 'coming back' again!

Just tell me how to submit it ...
