MokshaSeven theme

Hello there

After some time I can announce here fixed MokshaSeven theme. I was surprised how buggy and unfinished the theme was. If you are interested, install bodhi-theme-moksha-seven package and test it for me please. Select Windows Vista GTK theme which fits pretty well. ELM theme is not included, but I think the radiance theme should be fine.

Thanx ylee for packaging and bobl01 for ideas and some help.

Thanks Stefan, It's my favourite theme now! It's bright and cheerful. I also love the Japan theme, but I think that too might need a little work.

For those interested, the following desktop and GTK themes work well together:
- Seven and Windows Vista
- Japan and Adwaita
- Sunshine and Adwaita
- Forum and Arc-Green

I simply don't get dark themes at all. England is gloomy enough right now, I don't want it on my desktop.

Bob, you can look closer to my work with seven theme and try to fix the Japan theme by yourself. It could be nice and I know you are capable doing it. In case of troubles I am here for you...

Great point Norman

Oh, why I fixed all those themes? Hundreds hours of work. Just one ARC dark is fine with the porter. Why did not tell me sooner

Sure thing, Stefan. I'll give it a go. I don't think is has too much wrong with it so it shouldn't be as big a job as sorting out Seven.

Thanks for your work on this, Stefan (and on everything else you do). My favourite theme is Forum, but I've had issues with that in Bodhi 5, so I've now switched to Seven with Vista GTK theme and Gnome Icons theme, and that seems fine. Hopefully the Forum theme will be fixed one day...
Thanks again!

Here you are Jolly

Please, in case of any glitches, let us know. There is a chance to fix it. Send a forum theme screenshot with the issue description. I will look at that.

Hi Stefan
Thanks for your reply. The font in some application menus is not correct, e.g. Thunderbird (see screenshot attached)- it is the wrong font, and cramped.

Sometimes there can be too much configurability! Being able to mix and match Moksha themes with app themes with icon sets leads to an explosion of combinations! I've been working on a computer with a very limited screen size, so what you call "cramped" is to me just nicely packed with no writing lost off the edges!

For now you could consider using the Windows Vista GTK theme and if you like it maybe Stefan and I could rework it to match the Forum colour scheme.

Possibly the way forward is to produce one exemplar theme for larger screens, and a similar exemplar theme for smaller, limited screens. Then apply the colours from the current themes to generate new narrow and wide themes to suit most users. To prevent this from becoming a maintenance nightmare, we'd need an automated system to generate the full set of themes from the two exemplars.

With the amount of work Stefan has already put into Seven, perhaps that should be the exemplar for the wide theme. Generating the narrow theme may simply be a case of choosing different fonts. Stefan has already asked me to look at the Sunshine theme, but rather than wrestling with one theme at a time, perhaps producing new themes "automatically" is a better way forward. Any thoughts on this?

Bob

Many thanks for your reply, bobl01. There's no need to rework the Seven theme, it's fine with the Vista GTK theme. There are far more important things to spend your time on... We all owe enough to you and the other devs as it is.

Oh, yes, you are right. Bad GTK theme related to menu. I will look if I can do something with it. Unfortunately I am no expert to GTK theme work.

Many thanks for all your hard work, Stefan. Until the Forum theme is fixed, I've very happy with the Seven theme, which you've done an excellent job on.
Thanks again to you and all the other devs!
