I wish to remove a link from update list.

very sorry if the title is a little vague, but I am new to linux. I hope I am better able to explain here. When I update in the terminal one of the repos (I think this is what they are called) the first line reads( Ign:1 http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb stable InRelease )
I don"t use google products and don't want my PC to connect to any google services.
I try'd sudo apt-get install ppa-purge followed by sudo ppa-purge

Any help would be great.

What Linux distribution do you use?

Check the directory /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ for google-related list files. If you are sure you don't want the repository, then just remove the file. If you're not sure, move the file to a temporary location in your home directory.

That repository is added if you install the Google chrome deb package (provided by Google) to get the chrome browser.
