How to resize system tray icons?

I changed my scale factor and shelf size, and now the icons in the system tray are too big.

Depending what order I load them, they overlap each other, etc.

In the screenshots below there are three things in the systray: discord, qbittorrent, and nm-applet.

Most importantly I need to be able to see that network icon to confirm my vpn is locked, cuz for some reason it randomly disconnects and doesn't reconnect itself (even tho I've set it to).

Tell me the scaling value and shelf size value. Everything works here after some playing...

Shelf size 32 pixels, scale factor 1.7.

I'd actually like the start menu bigger, but as I increase the scale factor it also increases the text size in taskman, so this was my compromise.

Also note, sometimes it seems like the system tray is drawing on top of the speaker icon, I see residual speaker icon somestimes...

Hmm, yes, you are right :(

Your scaling values with shelf size is not really OK with this widget. I will need to look at that in the near feature. Some ideas came to my mind as workaround. Simply decrease shelf to 28 or run another app with systray support to reveal your 3 apps. I know, not ideal but...

Hmmm yes when I decrease shelf size to 28 I can now barely see the network lock, this will work. So no way to actually control the size of the system tray icons directly tho, even thru a config file or something?

No mate, this is theme and code related.
