Google Earth on Bodhi 5.1 64-bit

I installed the latest Google Earth on my notebook with Bodhi 5.1 64-bit.
When I start Earth, all of the control bars are there but not the section with the globe.
Instead, I can see "through" that section, at the desktop of Bodhi.
There's no information available when started in the terminal.

How can I fix this, please?

I just updated the graphics driver according to this guide:

But it didn't change anything.

What else can I do?

How was google earth installed?

I tried this guide in order to install it:

But after downloading the .deb, using the wget command of that guide, I double-clicked that .deb.
Then it was installed with gdebi, just like any other .deb.

I also uninstalled the driver update after my previous post, because it didn't make any noticeable difference.

OK it is working here. I can see the globe and zoom in and all that. Hmm so what moksha theme are you using? What gtk theme?

Moksha is 0.3.1 and the theme is Moksha Arc Green.

When I run screenfetch in the terminal it says:
GTK Theme: Not available. [GTK2]

When I look it up in the settings, I get a lot of GTK themes and among them there's also Moksha Arc Green, but none of them seems to be selected.
Shouldn't the selected one be Moksha Arc Green, too?

yes Moksha Arc Green should be the default gtk theme with your moksha theme you are using

Ok, but sorry, nothing has changed. There's still no globe.
Just like before, only in the upper left corner of the missing section, there's a small piece of that section with stars moving around, like they do at the beginning, when the globe comes up.

sorry about that. Was hoping it was a gtk issue. Hmm any errors in the terminal when you run it that may provide a clue? There is also a folder in your home directory that is hidden, .googleearth. It will place crash logs in there. That may not help as it is not crashing.

There is really not, such more I can offer. I think it is a closed source program and you are going to have to go to google themselves for help on it. A serious advanced developer maybe could run gdb on it or strace or other such programming tools and maybe see what it is wrong.

Since there are no error messages in the terminal, there are no hints regarding this problem. I've been thinking, maybe it's something about the graphics driver, but updating had no effect.

It is by all means GPU issue. I faced it in the past. Installing correct driver was a solution.

In my second post, I said, I updated the driver already, with no result. Was it the wrong one and do I need another one? Which one do you think is appropriate?

My main GPU is Intel HD Graphics 5500 and the other one is Radeon R5 M430. Apparently, the second one is a co GPU. The driver of the 5500 is an intel.
To install the Radeon driver, I used the following two pages.

I did all that, just to find out, the divers were installed already and nothing has changed.

I'm trying to uninstall the mesa driver from the oibaf PPA using Method 2 of this page, but that doesn't work.
There are still lots of oibaf packages in Synaptic.

When I try to force the bionic version of them, Bodhi notifies me about many packages that have to be removed first, but these packages are so many, it looks like half of the entire system.

Is there any chance of preventing a reinstallation of Bodhi?
