Date and Time sync -- Dual Language
Hi I'm brand new to Bodhi and Linux.
I can't seem to find the setting to sync Date and Time with NTP, the instructions on the Bodhi website seem to be for an earler version; I'm running 5.1.0. I also ran the apt-get command for NTP it seemed to download and install but I can't find the NTP settings anywhere. I would also like to use two languages; English and Hebrew and switch between them like I can in Windows. Is this possible? Thanks for your help |
I'm no expert on ntp, but usually once it's installed, everything should sync, no config necessary. If your time is still wrong after installing ntp, you probably have your time zone set wrong.
I'm not sure how to quickly switch the UI between two languages, but you can switch your keyboard layout, perhaps that's what you're lookin for. Under start/settings/modules add keyboard from the utilities tab. |

As far as language, I need to be able to create documents in a mix of Hebrew and English, this is very easy in Windows, you just add a language and its keyboard and then switch between them with a keyboard shortcut. The same is true in Chrome OS. I would assume this is possible in Linux but maybe not in the Bodhi distro... Any input would be appreciated. |

Hello there
I will quide you. I should probably make a new video because many people ask the same question Let's go: 1. under menu-settings-modules-utilities load keyboard module 2. keyboard module appears on the shelf. Click on it and select Settings 3. Add 2 layouts you need. Hebrew and English. 4. under keyboard options tab, you can set the key combination for changing layouts like in Win. 5. Enjoy Bodhi :) https://i.imgur.com/b2tNbDI.jpg For exact time I also use ntp sudo apt install npt Stefan |

And I do enjoy Budho. Very clean and easy. And I never used Linux until 2 days ago...

The NTP package you installed should include everything you need for time syncing. It should take some seconds for time refresh. Do you have your time incorrect?
