Thanks for finding this. Generally a positive review - although quite right to be critical about App Center, eepdater, and Swami.

Strangely written, though, like it was in another language that's been pushed through an automatic translator. I've glanced through some of Jack M. Germain's other articles, and they are extremely well written, nothing like this. So who actually wrote this?

Hmm. I did not find it was strangely written. English is not my mother tongue though.

I agree, the choice of words and the grammar of the review are rather unusual.

It is definitely not a smooth reading.

I would not blame the author but the editor needed to do a better job. It is ultimately the editor's responsibility to provide a quality of the material.
