Bodhi Linux doesn't have Thai fonts.


Bodhi Linux doesn't have Thai fonts, which I need them.

No, I don’t. I don’t think I suppose to add any font for running the installer.

use synaptic and search for mscorefonts. install that. i use trebuchet a lot and only way to get it was by ibstalling mscorefonts. linux comes with their limited and unusual set of fonts.

Thai fonts for GNU/Linux is available for more than a decade e.g. https://packages.debian.org/stretch/fonts-tlwg-loma-ttf so I won't install mscorefonts.

Where can I request for pre-installed fonts for Bodhi Linux? Or even telling me that excluding Thai fonts from Bodhi Linux is a part of minimalism is okay. I will leave it as it as.

There are some thai fonts available in repository

sudo apt install fonts-tlwg-loma-ttf

Why don't pre-install it? Is this a part of minimalism?

This is a question for our leader Jeff. But maybe yes, not all fonts are pre-installed by default.
